Dala Horse Campaign

The GCC Dala Horse campaign is our spin on the public art fundraisers that have become popular throughout the U.S. over the last several years. The Dala Horse was selected because it is the symbol that reflects the rich history of Geneva's early Swedish settlers.

These public art events have galvanized not-for-profit groups, businesses, merchants, sponsors, artists, beneficiaries, educators, and governmental agencies to work together toward the common goal of enriching their communities.

Businesses benefit from the added foot traffic, city governments benefit from additional tax dollars generated from increased tourism, and organizations like the GCC benefit from receiving new income streams that enable them to continue their not-for-profit work.

The Fresh Market

The Fresh Market for wine and food held Tuesday April 15, 2008 was a very successful evening raising over $8,000 in net proceeds received by the Geneva Community Chest.

2008 Golf Outing

The Annual Golf Outing is set for Monday, August 25, 2008, at Mill Creek Golf Club in Geneva. The cost is $150 per golfer and includes lunch and dinner. To sign up contact Andy Crance at 262-442-8007.

Pleasant weather was the order of the day and 104 golfers enjoyed the golf and an even larger crowd for the following dinner. The Geneva Community Chest raised over $17,000 with the additional raffles and auctions.
